More about will computer work
  1. I honestly wouldn't trust eMachines for anything...
  2. Looks cool but the psu is kinda iffy if you plan to buy another 460 for your system later on. 650 should do you well, and its from a trusted brand:

It'll run you $25 more with the same hdd.
  3. Agreed on the power supply, but I don't think you can SLI on an AMD board. I would go with a 6850 (which is cheaper, faster, lower power) for an AMD build. A lot of the advantage of a 460 is it's ability to SLI very effectively.(SLI scales better than crossfire) You would really be limiting you upgrade options going with Nvidia here, wheras you could always crossfire down the road with the 6850
  4. Good point on the sli limitations, but check out this thread:
Apparently some amd boards will support sli if they have the proper chipsets.
  5. thank goodness you guys caught that!
    Thanks a lot C:
  6. yah but the AMD boards with the sli chipset is the 900 series nforce which are old and outdated and overpriced

stick with yours and crossfire its better and cheaper

with the 6k series and new drivers crossfire scaling is amazing the 6850 actually beats out the 460 in single and multi gpu setups (with the exception of like 1 or 2 games)
