2600k temps/performance

I just got my 2600k with CM 212+, P8P67 Pro, 8gb Ripjaw 1600 and HD 6950 put together last night and I'm currently running some stress tests to make sure everything is up to snuff. 2 hours of IntelBurnTest on maximum stress settings raised my core temps no higher than 54C. Is this about what everyone else is getting? This is my first direct heatpipe cooler, and I'm afraid I may have gone heavy on the thermal grease.

If you've got a similar system please let me know how yours is performing temperature and FPS wise in games so I know whether everything is running properly on mine.

  1. For ANY CPU, you are fine. As long as it does not get above 80 degrees centigrade.

I'm running a 2500k with a CM 212+, P8P67, 4 GB OCZ 1600, and crossfired 6950s. With a bit of an overclock (4.2 Ghz) I'm maxing out at 60C running Prime95. It sounds like to you did okay to me.
