GeForce 460 GTX , Windows 7 driver (32 and 64 bit)

I'm in need of driver help. I spent last 3 days trying to install and reinstall my driver, change my card's slot, make sure power is plugged properly, tried 4 drivers, and 2 version of Windows 7 (32 and 64 bits).

The Physx driver and Audio driver installs properly, but the Display Driver will not install, and in device manager, the "NVIDIA GeForce 460 GTX" always shows with a "!" in front and Windows says that it's not functionning properly with error code 43.

I've been looking all over for solutions I just can't find anything, and nothing works. I've tried the driver that came with the card, then updated drivers from NVIDIA, then ForceWare driver, then NVIDIA omega, just nothing works.

I'm desperate... I am wondering if my card works or not. I am about to take it off and try to load it on my other computer which has windows xp on it, or take it off and replace it with that other GeForce 8800gt that I have, which is a shame I would love to get this 460 GTX to work :(

I have a GA-X58A-UD5 gigabyte board, and a Gigabyte GeForce 460 Fermi GTX card, Corsair XMS3 TR3X6G1600C9 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600 CL 9-9-9-24 Core i7 Memory Kit , an i7 930 processor, and hard disks are sata 3, main being a flash HDD.

The GTX 460 and the 8800GT use the same drivers. Can you install them with the other card installed?

  4. The card was DoA (Dead on Arrival). I tested it on another PC with windows XP and it does the exact same thing. I installed a NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT instead (same driver) and it works fine.

Thanks for help guys... thumbs up
