LG monitor won't work! GTX460

Hi

Just got my LG E2240T monitor. Hooked the DVI-D cable output to the HDMI output on my GTX460. Turn machine on, all I get is "Check signal cable". They are not handshaking

But if I think connect the VGA > VGA, monitor shakes with machine. I can then plug in the DVI-D, select that as the input, then remove the VGA. But if the machine sleeps, it loses the connection and wont handshake again?

Help?

Luke

If you want use HDMI then you must use HDMI output too or buy an active HDMI adapter...

What resolution? VGA connection is not have enough power to show high resolution...
If you want high resolution then use DVI/HDMI.
