Will this allow me to use the wireless connection on smartphones (android), with my laptop acting as the wireless hub?

I tried this method but seems unable to connect my smartphone to it.

Any suggestions?

yeah this didn't work at all.

BTW I have a vista and a XP, tried both methods exactly and I still cant see it, (even on another PC...)
