I am thinking about building a comp myself rather than buying one already put together. I want to know if this build will work or not, as well as if it is good or not.

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

psu:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

dvd-rom drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

cpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

OS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

This is my build minus the graphics card(s). Will I be able to have 5870's in crossfire and will I be able to play games like crysis and starcraft 2? I'm also not sure if all the components are compatible with each other.

1. If u just game no render/encode/compile/vid edit/etc justthe 955BE would do
2. If u are thinking CF negative on that Asus 880: 16/4 is a no no so have a look at Asrock 870Extreme3
3. With HD6k out now, $240 for HD 6870 and enhanced CF scaling suffice to say the sun ought to go down on the HD 5.8k cards @@

This is a HD6870CF build - take off a card if u feel u dun want to CF immediately ^^

What was that?? ^^
Dude, Cables come bundled with the Mobo..... you rarely need any extra ones.......
not with 1 HDD, 1 SSD & 1DVD/CD Drive..........

By the way that's a very sturdy build from Batuchka.....^+1

Would it matter if I used a AMD Phenom II X4 965 rather than a AMD Phenom II X4 955?

Also, thank you for the build! Helped a lot. :)  :D

Also, don't I have to buy the OS as well? If so, shouldn't that be added to the price?
