Howdy. I'm in the middle of a new build and managed to squeeze enough $$ in my budget to get a 120GB SSD.
The PC is going to be Windows 8 used for gaming and .NET development, occasionally Microsoft Office stuff.
Please note that for gaming I have a small attention span, so play a lot of different games, not really stuck on a specific game (except for my daughter who may have an addiction problem with Sims 3!)
My PC also has a 7200RPM 1TB drive.
So... my question....
I'm leaning towards two options for my SSD.
1. Use all 120GB as primary boot drive, put windows, .NET, office and some games
2. Break into two 60GB drives. Use one drive to install Windows, maybe office and .NET and use the other 60gb with Intel Smart Cache
I'm thinking 2 works better for me because of my gaming short attention span and then I don't have to worry about where to install games, I'll just put them on the 1TB drive and let smart cache speed things up for me over time.
