I just bought an Asus z68 V-LE motherboard and this ram:
G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR2 Sniper SE 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 1.25V Memory Kit

Do they work together?

If they're not defective then they should work.

They operate at a lower voltage so they should generate less heat.

The default DDR3 DIMM voltage is 1.5v. You may need to lower the DIMM voltage in BIOS for any power savings or heat reduction.
