How to get 6 channel surround sound output through optical audio cable

i connectd my home theatre surround
sound system to my computer using an optical audio cable.
My mobo is m4a88td vevo and it has an optical audio port.In sound settings from control panel,i
selected the properties of realtek hd optical
audio and set it as default.there under advancd tab only
stereo setings are displayed(2 channel
16bit 48khz).and the test tune works perfectly in 2 speakers.but my other 4
speakers are not engaged in that test
proces.ie.its not providing a 6 channel.
How to make it 6 channel?
Pls help guys

pls tell me a way to provide 6 channel out through optical with this system

    Limitation seems to be the source material, and output ability of integrated sound chipset; but this is explained in the thread. Good reading!
