Building new rig, input appreciated!

I could not find that little outline of questions to answer so I'll try to be as specific as possible.

I wish to purchase this soon (within the next 2 days)

This will be used for photo/video editing, gaming, general multimedia use.

I will more than likely cf/sli one day

I plan on pushing two 24" monitors (maybe 3 one day)

budget: $1000-$1200

keyboard, mouse, monitors, etc are stuff i already have.



Stuff I already sort of have in mind:


Processor: i5 760

- would it be wise to step up to i7?

GFX: gtx 460 sli or single 470 for now

mobo: x58 ftw3

- not really sure on this one. I picked the ftw3 because initially I had chosen the i7..
- I do plan on SLI'ing
- help here is much appreciated

ram : gskill 6gb

case : no idea here (i love the clean look + runs cool)
