Hi there,

I'm looking at putting together a new comp for gaming purposes. Here is what I have come up with so far, but would appreciate any feed back on how I might be able to swap a few things around for more bang for buck.

Galaxy GeForce GTX460 GC PCI-E 2.0 1GB DDR5 256-bit Video Card - $290.40

ASRock P55-EXTREME4 LGA1156, 4xDDR3, 2xPCIE, RAID - $179

G.Skill GS-F3-16000CL9D-4GBTDD DDR3-2000 4GB Dual Channel [Trident] F3-16000CL9D-4GBTDD x2 - $274.68

OCZ Vertex Series 60GB 2.5" SSD, SATA, MLC (OCZSSD2-1VTX60G) - $138

Core i5 760 2.8GHz, 4 Cores, 4 Threads, Turbo Boost to 3.33 GHz - $218

Hunkey X7 900W 80 Plus Silver Modular PSU - $169

NZXT PHANTOM BLACK FULL TOWER W / O PSU COMPUTER CASE - $181

Would like to run two video cards in a SLI configuration at a later date. However is 8 Gb ram over kill? Would I get away with 4 GB for now and then look at upgrading another 4 GB later?

Also if I am planning on running two cards does that mean I would need a minimum of 900W as the minimum requirement for each card is 450W?

Would be willing to swap out any components that would give me a performance increase within the same sort of budget

Have you considered the new 6850s or 6870s instead of the 460?
If you drop down to a better priced set of ram say $90-$140 priced ranged you could buy 2 6870s and crossfire at the start for the same price.
Plus the 68xx series do not require as much power so can drop the power supply down to around a 750W without any worries.

Hmm I think I am happy with this build. But not sure if any of the hardware will conflict?

That would come to around $1494 if they can price match a few things.
