What are you using it for? Most things dont need 12GB of ram, 6GB is usually plenty and is a lot cheaper.

If you will be gaming what resolution monitor are you going to be using? Whats your budget for the missing parts?

Hey,

I was going to use it for developing programs, mainly for programming. I think that 12 GB is a lot as well but my friend recommended that for me. I don't know much about the hardware and was not really interested in putting that much money in the video card.

I mainly wanted the core i7-950 because my brother said he would chip in for that. The rest is what was suggested to me.

My monitor is going to be my old 32" TV. I believe it is HDTV but dont know the specs.

Does this provide more info?
