Hi Community
I have built a system with a gigabyte GA-P55-usb3 ver. 2.0 motherboard and a hd 5770 4.26 driver graphic card with a ASUS ms226 monitor. I am not getting any sound at all. I have tried all the basic thing like making default hd. It also has a hdmi option but my monitor is not supporting that so I want to the hd sound instead. Anyone help me with this problem. Running windows 7 64 bit.

Hello.

I'm not sure of the situation here though.
Is the monitor connected via HDMI and has integrated speakers?

EDIT. The MS226H does not have integrated speakers AFAIK, to get sound you need to get speakers and connect it to the mobo's 3.5mm jack.

is there an option in BIOS to switch mobo sound output to graphic card? It usually happens automatically but not always.

Then its nothing to do with the GPU/Monitor.

Did you install the Onboard audio drivers?

Have you tried going to the windows sound options and changing the default output device? As it's probably defaulted to the graphic card you will have to change it to the onboard or soundcard that you're using.

If you are using Windows then try looking through the options in the control panel under hardware and sound.
