BOOT DISC FAILURE

Hi turned on my PC the other day and got (BOOT DISC FAILURE PRESS Ctrl Alt Del to restart)
message i have checked boot order swaped SATA cables and a few other things the only thing
that gets the computer to boot up is to run express recovery2 from the disc and select
REBOOT windows 7 starts fine after that i can aven restart system

aney advice would be apreciated

I think that it is likely a reinstall is the answer. Last month I pulled a non system RAID 0 array out of the system and my boot drive failed. When I removed the drive and checked it out on another Rig the files and everything were still there but even the Win 7 recoviery options failed to see an OS on the drive. I think it may well be a failure of the 100 MB boot partition Win 7 is dependant on. Recover your data and start again is what I would do.

When faced with this problem the first thing that I would try would be to insert the Windows 7 installation CD and then chose repair and then the fix start-up problems option. This will fix 90% of all start-up problems.
