Gtx 460

Hello, So i was wondering if my power supply(Ultra X4 750-Watt Modular Power Supply) Would be able to support 2 gtx 460's in SLI. Currently i am running and AMD x4 465 oc to 4ghz at 1.5v. Any sort of information would help. Thank you in advance.

  1. It can with out a problem. Dual GTX460s only use ~250W gaming/300W full load.

On an unrelated note, what cooler and motherboard are you using

make sure you have an enough room inside your case, so those dual GTX460 aren't too hot... :)
  3. CPU cooler is a Cooler Master V8. And the Motherboard is a.... ASUS M4N98TD EVO

    I'm running dual GTX 460's with a i5 750 @ 4ghz on a XFX (seasonic) 750w and it hardly breaks a sweat. You'll be fine.

wa1 is correct, cooling will be your biggest issue. I had no issue when running a single monitor (36c idle/74c OCCT load), but when I'm running 2 monitors at different res and the second card idles at 48-49c and the load temps increase by around 10c. This is all in a Windtunnel (2 x 250mm, 3 x 120mm) with liquid on the cpu.

What amperage is your xfx (seasonic) 750w on 12v rail?
