I just purchased Arctic Silver 5 for my I5 setup, and I was wondering if I made the right choice. The conductivity makes me a little nervous. The computer parts will be here Thursday and the paste on Friday.

If there is something else that is better and you can get it at a store or something so I can build ASAP that would be great.

Recommendations?

I just installed the same cooler 2 days ago on my i7 2600K rig and to my dismay, I had no AS5 left. So I used the supplied Coolermaster thermal paste and it's surprisingly good. Have it OCed to 4.4 ghz, temps rarely even hit 70 C even during high stress testing

is the "1 line stripe" method down the center the best still?

Ive used the Thermalright, Zalman, Evercool, AS5 and AC MX-2.

All are pretty good but for serious heat the AS5 and MX-2 were clearly better.

I use these installation methods http://www.arcticsilver.com/methods.html

I can't seem to find the MX-4 anywhere locally where I can get it fast. Im excited to build my new PC and don't wanna wait for new stuff to mail. I might just have to use the AS5.
