Hello, can I replace my Soundmax Integrated Digital Audio card with another newer Windows 7 capable one. My laptop, HP Pavilion dv5000 and what brand/model?

Go to HP's website and update your audio drivers. You shouldn't need to purchase anything new.

Well, no you can't replace it. You can probably disable it and use an external USB-type device instead.
