is it possible to put 4 gb ram on asus m2nmx

It really is Asus M2N-MX.
According to Asus website, that motherboard supports 4GB of RAM but I'm not sure if it will support 2x2GB configuration.

I cannot understand questions like this when the correct and exact information can be found in your manual, and if you don't have one, you can go to the manufacturers website to get it.

According to Asus, it supports 4GB total RAM. It *should* support 2gb sticks. I've used 2GB sticks several times on boards that specced 1GB per slot, and it's worked fine 95% of the time. The qualified RAM list for that board doesn't certify any 2GB sticks, but that could be because when the board was made, 2GB sticks wern't available yet (which is usually the case).
