DIY Rig

I've been browsing around the forum and noticed that building my own computer is much cheaper than going the IBUYPOWER or CYBERPOWERPC route. What kind of things would i need to know how to do? (Soldering?) The hardware part is not my biggest worry though. What kind of things do you need besides drivers and windows? or is that it? Thanks for your help

It is all plug and play pushing in connectors and screwing some fasteners in place no soldering. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/274745-31-step-step-guide-building
Drivers will come with the hardware and the Windows is the OS.
