Hi, well ive decided to compare two systems to build, but i dont know if the other system is worth the premium over the cheaper system.

System #1:
Intel Core i5 650 @ 4.0Ghz
4GB Corsair XMS3 1600Mhz CAS9
Gigabyte GA-H55-UD2H
ATI HD4870 1GB

System #2:
Intel Core i7 870 @ 4.0Ghz
4GB Corsair Dominator GT 2133Mhz CAS9
Gigabyte GA-P55-UD5
Nvidia Geforce GTX275 896MB

System 1 or 2? also tell me why you would choose that system over the other one.

What id like to do: Rendering, Gaming, Multi-tasking, Benchmarking

Thanks in advance

There both bad? eh are you feeling okay i need advice from a experienced user, Thanks for your advice but..i've narrowed it down to them systems. My budget is based on LGA1156 or AM3+ platforms. So really anything supported on them boards i can afford including Ram,Processor, motherboard. Also will change GPU to 5870 or 6870.

What country? Where are you buying your parts from?

the second one is a little better, buy you'd be better off with a modern graphics card (a 68xx or GTX 460) and an i750/760 rather than the 870

Why would you even consider a 4xxx series card... it doesn't support DX11 along with other things...

I made a mistake with going on a 1156 Platform, but now ive made it, why would a i5 750/760 be better than a 870 at all? ive got the money for a 870 also i noticed HD6870 are slower then the 5870 so a 870/5870 combo looks the way to go i think?

the 6870 is a replacement for the 5770. its $229, while the 5870 is more than $300

The 6870 is around the 5850 level. My GTX275 outpaces a 5830. Which puts it inbetween a 5830 and 5850. A 6870 ain't a big enough upgrade. i think at the very least a 5870/GTX470.

I'd wait 2-3 weeks if you can, the 69xx replacement for the 58xx will be out before black friday.

The i5-750/760 are cooler running and overclock better than the i7-8xx

Cooling won't be an issue anyway will be running on a Corsair H70. And i wouldn't push a i5/i7 passed 4.0Ghz anyway. Im mainly buying the cpu for CPU intensive games and loads and loads of multitasking. In benchmarks a i7 750/760 is slower in rendering and most games. Also the cpu is futureproofed having 4 cores+ 8 threads. the 750 aint got HT.

the corsair h70 is actually worse than similarly priced air cooling solutions. I would NOT recoomend it. the extra hassle of the radiator is not worth it, especially if you do better on air with say a Cooler Master hyper 212+ or a Kingwin XT-1264

What about an Xigmatek Dark Knight S1283? Or corsair h50

If he's no recommending an H70, obviously he's not gonna recommend a lower model of the same type of product, use your brain a little more.

+1 on the Hyper 212 +

I wouldn't be asking about different heatsinks if i knew they would be suitable for my system. I made this thread because i need help and advice not to be flamed by you. And a lower model is not always the case of something performing worser...so i think you need to use your brain a little more. Also before you reply, make sure you correct your grammar. Found it hard to understand what you where trying to say "If he's no recommending" thanks.
