But in either case, yes the M4A79T will support Both CPU's

If you are plan on buying that CPU, I wouldn't. You're better off getting the Phenom II 955BE. It's the best bang for your buck AMD CPU.

You do NOT want a 9950BE. Tell us what your budget is and we can suggest a decent cpu. 9950BE is a slow crappy cpu.

You should be looking at Athlon II X4 or Phenom II X4. Keep in mind you'll likely need to update your bios with the old cpu, before installing the new one.
