Hello,
I just put together a new build - keeping only the video card and the drives. I haven't been able to get the system to recognize the two (RAID set-up) Western Digital drives as having an OS, so I'm looking to get another drive and install the OS on it.

My question is this - There's software data I haven't had a chance to back-up. I do not know the order of the drives in the RAID. Will I be able to access the software etc off the old drives if they're installed in a different order or set-up?

I don't think so? The motherboards are both from the same manufacturer (ASUS), but several years apart - I upgraded from a P5N32-E SLI to a P8Z77-V LE Plus.

I should add that I wasn't the one to set up the old build - I did a silly thing and paid for a shop to build it for me.
