AMD Athlon II x4 640 recognizing only 2 cores

It only shows 2 cores but its a quad core processor. my motherboard is a foxconn a88gmv with bios version A43F1P02. could it still be running on all cores but just not say it? my bios system info screen says it has logical count of 4 cores.Thanks for the help in advance.

windows cpu-z everything says only 2 cores but when i go into my bios and look it says 4 so i dont understand how it knows theres 4 but will only recognize 2?

usually something like this (i use vista) system configuration -> boot -> advance option -> un-tick number of processor

It's already unticked and when i tick it and go to the drop down list itll only let me select 2 cores.
