it will run the 4870 but that specific PSU drops below 80% efficiency after 60% load.

  6. Not advised at all. If it was the RealPower or the SilentPower series then no problem. Extreme power is extremely bad. :)

If you are willing to change then Corsair VX550W is a good one.
  7. thanks for replying all.
the thing is i already bought the PSU and i hope it will work for me.i dont have much in my pc just 80GB HDD, 2GB Ram, DVD RW and ASUS EAH/4870(ATI Radeon HD 4870) coming up.
  8. i'll have the PSU in 10 days or so, i'll post the result if anyone is curious.
btw the previous PSU was 25A on 12v and it worked for 3 days only, its calld nPower.
  9. i've just installed it and it works just fine for Radeon 4870!! im happy that i could run this awesome GPU with just a $40 PSU, coolmaster Rocks!

but now i have other problem witch is not connected with the PSU, the problem is that there are white lines all over the screen now and last time I used it with other no good PSU that worked only 3 days there was no line then. And now I think the last PSU must have caused some faulty on the GPU.
if u have the same problem or have a solution for this u can check out the forum here
