Hello, I'm just about to buy a new computer with these components:

INTEL CORE I7 2600K 3.40GHZ 8MB S-1155
NOCTUA NH-D14 S-1155/1156/1366/AM3
CORSAIR 8GB DDR3 XMS3 INTEL I5/I7 PC12800 1600MHZ (2X4GB)
ASUS GEFORCE GTX 580 DIRECTCU II 1536MB PCI-E DVI/HDMI
COOLER MASTER FULLTOWER HAF X BLACK

Then it comes to the motherboard choice. I'm not sure what motherboards has bad reputations or known flaws, or are just generally better than the other ones, so I'll need some updated help here.
I want a motherboard with an Intel 1155 socket, 2 SLI-E ports, 1600mhz+ RAM support and the ability to overclock my 2600k safely with a fitting Noctua.
These are my current finds:

GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3P Z68 S-1155 ATX (this is what I'm about to buy)
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO Z68 S-1155 ATX (I heard Asus is among the best)
ASUS SABERTOOTH B3 P67 S-1155 ATX

I know it's pretty obvious to say "Just buy a motherboard than has what u want lulz", but I want to know what's the best.

The 3 that you are looking at are all excellent choices.

Both Asus and Gigabyte are very well known to have solid boards, that work very well. I personally prefer the Asus boards, but that is just personal preference.

If you go with any of those 3 you will be in great shape. Enjoy!!

OK I've actually changed my mind. I'm just gonna go for the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO Z68 S-1155 card because I don't think I'll need to overclock my RAM over 1600mhz, and I also found this (http://www.hardware.no/artikler/asus_p8z68-v_pro/98624/5) Norwegian thread about overclocking the 2500k to 4,8ghz with it.

Again, great choice.

Overclocking RAM has almost no perceptible increase of performance, and generally give 1-2% increase in benchmarks, so no, 1600 MHz is perfectly fine.

IT is always nice to have an OC guide around the specific hardware you use, makes it easier to follow.

Good luck!

I won't get the Corsair XMS3 1.65v, and it's best to get DDR3-1600 CAS 8/9 2x4GB @ 1.50v. If you want to OC then IMO I'd get the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO. While I like many ASUS GPUs I'm not a fanboy of the 3-PCIe width with 3 year warranties, and instead I'd look at the EVGA with Limited Lifetime Warranty instead e.g. EVGA SuperClocked 015-P3-1582-AR.
