I'm trying to build my first gaming computer and have just today learned only some of the terms and only then in online pictures, forums, and other articles. Therefore i'm completely new at all of this. Anyway i found all the components i think i want to use and they add up to $1600 so i want to know if they work together or should be changed in any way. Here they are:

Cooler Master HAF Full Tower

Intel Core i7 860

Asus P6T Mobo

Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB Hard Drive

Diamon Radeon HD 5850 Video Card

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicat...ffiliateID=iFudSkud_Rc-CfGHkOxZF2lnr5uxSMvJLw

Ultra X4 750-Watt power supply

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4558896&Sku=U12-40504

Asus Dvd Burner

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6078414&Sku=A455-5022

OCZ Platinum Tri Channel 6GB DDR3 Memory

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4282840&CatId=4327

And then i'd be using Windows 7 Home premium 64Bit. Unless i should do the 32bit. the only difference i know is the 64 handles more data better.. or something of that sort.

Anyway thanks so much for any help in this regard!

i7 860 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115214&cm_re=i7_860-_-19-115-214-_-Product

Asus P6T Deluxe http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131403

Just as good a hard drive for cheaper. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185

Ditch that POS Ultra power supply. This will run 2 of just about any card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006

Diamond 6870 Video card like $100 cheaper than that 5850........ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814103123

6GB GSkill DDR3 1600 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231304

I think that will save you some money and get you a better computer to boot.

Edit: Windows 7 x64 is the best way especially since 32bit can not see more than a little over 3 GB of memory.
