Sapphire GPU power connection issue

I am presently installing a Sapphire Hd 5970 Dual GPU Graphics card.
Viewing the connection ports there are two....the left port is a six pin port.....the right port is an 8 pin port.

I am at a lost as to how to connect to a Corsair HX1000 watt powersupply.

Do I connect "Just the 8 pin"......Or "Just the 6 Pin"......or both........Please Advise
