Hello,
I have upgraded my operating system to Windows Vista from Windows XP, and I would like to upgrade it again to Windows 7 due to having system crashes and freezing.

I want to know on what kind of hardware is compatible with Windows 7 in upgrading my system. Currently my system is:

Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2140 1.6GHz
1 GB RAM DDR2 SDRAM PC4200
Intel Q965/Q963 Express Chipset Family (built-in)
250 watt power supply

I want to upgrade the motherboard, RAM and processor. What should I upgrade it to?

Please help me. I have no idea on what system I should upgrade it to.

Depends on your budget and usage.

Budget won't be a problem. I just want to know what hardware system should I upgrade it to and what hardware is compatible with windows 7?

Could I upgrade it to Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E4300
(2M Cache, 1.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) ?

and the motherboard. what kind of motherboard that compatible with windows 7?

What's your motherboard? It may support the Core 2 Quad which is equivalent (almost) to the i5.
And You need to buy a graphics card instead of your integrated graphics.

There's hardly any difference between your processor and the e4300, definitley no, in fact the e4300 is 1% faster than you processor the e2140.
