Hello,
I have upgraded my operating system to Windows Vista from Windows XP, and I would like to upgrade it again to Windows 7 due to having system crashes and freezing.

I want to know on what kind of hardware is compatible with Windows 7 in upgrading my system. Currently my system is:

Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2140 1.6GHz
1 GB RAM DDR2 SDRAM PC4200
Intel Q965/Q963 Express Chipset Family (built-in)
250 watt power supply

I want to upgrade the motherboard, RAM and processor. What should I upgrade it to?

Please help me. I have no idea on what system I should upgrade it to.

Windows 7 works with any newer boards. My ultimate version usually finds all the board device drivers without the motherboard cd. I suggest an amd dual core regor cpu with 785 micro atx board and 4 ddr3 slots. You can still get ddr3 fairly cheap right now, but prices have risen a bit after the holidays. Use 1333 corsair, kingston, samsung (hynix) or gskill. The 2x2 gb kits start at about $45 in the usa.
