More about router network address assigned
  1. Go into your router configuration.

Go start > run > cmd and type "ipconfig" (minus the quotes) in the window. Look for the "Default Gateway" address and type that into your web browser, firefox, chrome, internet explorer etc.

Look for the setting to show whether or not the router is doing DHCP for you. If not, enable it and you should get an address on your machine.

    Good luck.
  2. well, the computer may not have a default gateway configured, if it can't connect to the router to get DHCP.

What is your PCs IP address? Can you ping 192.168.1.1?

    Wired or wireless?
