Issues while playing need for speed most wanted with zotac gts 250

Hello,
I am getting issues while playing need for speed most wanted, the screen crashes and system hangs my system configuration is as follows :

CPU : Core 2 quad Q9300
Motherboard : MSI P45 Neo3 FR
Ram : 4 GB DDR2 800MHz
GPU : Zotac GTS - 250 512MB
Hard Drive : 160 GB
OS : Win XPSP2
have got the latest drivers for the GPU, I am stuck and don't know what to do please help

hangs? just hangs? no errors? Blue Screen of Death?
Temps? It could be an overheating...
What is your PSU? brand? model?
What about the other games? Does it crash as well?
