A $20,000 build is typically on the EVGA SR-2 though most builds are $10K~$15K but can go easily higher if adding a large SSD RAID or large OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2.

Yes best is so wide open that it could mean anything. You really need to give us a little more information on what you are going to be dong with the system. The best workstation board for a dual processor graphics set up I would have to say the Intel® S5520SC, but I wouldnt say that it is a good gaming board.

You can buy a lot of really good beer for $17,000 and still build a smokin good PC with $3000.

BTW - I did notice 'ATX' but I cannot imagine a $20K build and limiting myself to 'ATX'.

Arguably, the best looking and functional build on LGA 1155 is the ASUS P8P67 WS REVOLUTION with it's perfect PCIe spacing allowing 3-WAY SLI + PhysX.
