Best led backlit lcd under 300

whats the best 24in led back lit lcd for 299 or less.

Samsung is a great brand but I would choose this option:

You are still sticking with the same brand just a better quality monitor. The only down side is this monitor is 23 inches instead of the 24 inches you requested. If this monitor will be used for gaming then I would choose the monitor I posted above. However, if it is for general purposes then purchase the monitor you posted.

I own the monitor jones911 listed. It is excellent and would highly recommend it, however your choice looks great too, and without a detailed review/comparison it is difficult to say which you would like better. What is your intended use?

I've purchased 4 of them now and two of the 21.5" versions and they are wonderful. The stand is the only thing worth mentioning is the stand. It's sturdy, but you'll have to prop it up on something if you want it to stand close to straight up.

PX2370 is newer, but as for the differences/improvements other than appearance I'm not sure. Might have to do some research on that.

Plus a few gimmicks which are unnecessary with proper calibration. However the thinner bezel is nice. Also, the XL has a higher max brightness if that matters to you.

PX2370 had more distinction between dark greys and blacks but worse rendition of lighter greys. The peak brightness of the PX2370 was recorded as 246 cd/m2 whereas the XL2370’s brightness was recorded as 344 cd/m2 – and contrast ratios were 948:1 and 1008:1, respectively.





isnt light gray to black more important than dark gray to black distinction??

or is any of this even noticeable unless side by side

I didn't put too much faith in the minor details since they admitted they didn't calibrate the monitors first. I thought when I tested the monitor is did fine in the dark greys to black, but I could check that again.
