Samsung is a great brand but I would choose this option:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001380

You are still sticking with the same brand just a better quality monitor. The only down side is this monitor is 23 inches instead of the 24 inches you requested. If this monitor will be used for gaming then I would choose the monitor I posted above. However, if it is for general purposes then purchase the monitor you posted. :)

I own the monitor jones911 listed. It is excellent and would highly recommend it, however your choice looks great too, and without a detailed review/comparison it is difficult to say which you would like better. What is your intended use?

PX2370 had more distinction between dark greys and blacks but worse rendition of lighter greys. The peak brightness of the PX2370 was recorded as 246 cd/m2 whereas the XL2370’s brightness was recorded as 344 cd/m2 – and contrast ratios were 948:1 and 1008:1, respectively.

isnt light gray to black more important than dark gray to black distinction??

or is any of this even noticeable unless side by side
