On-board/PCI-e GPU together

I recently upgraded my Mobo to a Nvidia 730i which comes with a Geforce 9400 built into it (onboard gpu). My recent graphics card is a Geforce 7950 making it obsolete to the onboard. Is there any reason I should keep it on my computer? Will it help take load/stress off the onbaord gpu at all or is it just slowing down my computer all together?
