Approximate Purchase Date: within 2 weeks (can be swayed to wait a month or so if it its worth the wait)

Budget Range: approx $1000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: graphics design using CS4/CS5 Master Collection suite, video editing, lots of multitasking, email, internet, design. Need to have multiple CS apps open at once interchanging between them for magazine and book layouts

Parts Not Required: keyboard/mouse (logitech cordless wave), monitor (samsung 22" syncmaster t220), 1TB HD (WD green sata 3.5" WD10EADS--brand new in box)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: doesn't matter, using newegg.ca (feel free to suggest best)

Country of Origin: Canada

Parts Preferences: Intel CPU, Asus mobo

Overclocking: No idea

SLI or Crossfire: No idea

Monitor Resolution: prefer the best...1920x1200. I plan to have a dual monitor system. will purchase other monitor down the road (maybe during boxing day bonanzas). This way one is dedicated for design the other for administrative (email, internet, etc)

Additional Comments: Looking for quiet PC. Some of the parts here maybe overkill (e.g. 8GB RAM), but feel free to let me know. I know its not a gamer, but realize that some of these photoshop or indesign or illustrator files get very large. When you have three of these running at the same time, plus email, plus internet, I didnt want to take a risk so I went with lots of RAM. Again, I am open for suggestion from you the experts on any of these parts, including CPU. Also, since I will be using two monitors, should I have two video cards?

For your usage, IMO the AMD's 6-Core CPUs would better suit...

CPU - 1055T + OCZ Vertex 2 60GB
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Item...

Mobo + OS
Gigabyte 880G + Win 7 - FOr your usage, I dont see the need for an external graphics card...
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Item...

Mushkin 8GB DDR3
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1682...

Antec 300 Illusion
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...

Corsair 400CX - Can handle even HD 5750 and such so it would suffice IMO...
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...

HDD - As you have a 1TB for data and a SSD, I dont think you would need it...

DVD
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1682...

Total - ~$811 Including Shipping + ~$106 Tax = ~$917
If you want a vidoe card, then I would suggest this -
EVGA GTS 450 1GB - The Nvidia cards play well with CAD programs compared to the ATI cards
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...

Total with the graphics card - ~$1058 Including shipping and tax I guess + you have about USD 55 in rebates...

Or if you want an even more powerful setup, then change the CPU, mobo, RAM to these from the above build...
i7 950 + ASUS X58
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Item...

12GB DDR3
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1682...

SSD + OS

Rest same as above -
Total - ~$1164 before shipping, taxes...
