Hard Drive Encryption and RAID 5

I was wondering if there was a way to encrypt a software RAID 5 array. If so, are there any disadvantages?

You can encrypt any data on any drive or array of drives. Try truecrypt. -> http://www.truecrypt.org/

Forgetting your password can be a huge disadvantage...
  2. There is also dmcryp/LUKS.

    Disadvantages:
In addition to pass phrase issue, performance hit and you OS incorrectly recognizing an encrypted disk as not formatted are the two other major concerns.
