A server board is also more costly as it is generally engineered with stability in mind vs performance. Server boards also don't have the features a desktop usually comes with like the extra ports and or wireless. They are made with enterprise intentions so the fit to standards more closely. I steer clear of server boards for home use as I can get all I need from desktop machine and if it goes bad I can replace it at lower cost than a server board. Both will work though no issues other than cost and stability IMHO.
