SSD make virus scans & dvd converting faster?

because SSD's have a better read/write compared to HDD's, does that mean virus scans will be quicker and also dvd converting?

Virus scans are much faster, only when scanning the ssd of course.

Yeah a slight faster if you are comparing it with a SATA III HDD ...... I myself had found a little improvement on video editing and conversion. But what affects the DVD conversion fact strongly is the RAM and CPU.

When scanning with mcafee my ssd isnt as fast as it could be due to 100% cpu (6600k) load used by mcafee.
