Stuck thumbscrew, NZXT Guardian 921

Hi, I cannot seem to remove the thumbscrew on my NZXT Guardian 921 case. The bottom one came off fine, but the top screw came semi warped or with an obvious defect. I cannot unscrew it, is there anyway to pry the screw off and replace it later? I was considering somehow breaking the plastic part that you unscrew with your thumb and removing the screw from there. Any suggestions are welcome.

I have limited tools considering I just moved into a new place, but yes in good circumstances a pair of pliers is best. Best answer to you!
