More about 300watt joke
  1. 1 of my friends is using a factory overclocked gtx 470 on a 400w power supply. hes getting a new 1, his pc shuts down when he plays games. i warned him beforehand but he didnt listen.
  2. The guy who designed the specs for this rig, must be an idiot nothing more.
  3. Companies do the same crap here, you're better off building your own computer. Companies that build "custom" computers are such rip offs and have no idea what they are doing.

I remember back in '04, I bought a computer for 2000 dollars, roughly 90,000 ruppies, and it was a junker. I ended up having to replace everything except the motherboard and monitor just to play games of that era.

Ahh, back in the days when I had no idea what I was doing.
  4. and another big joke

    A gtx 480 ON A 300w psu.
  5. I pity the customer that tries using a GTX 470 on a 300w PSU.

Actually they're just lying. There is no such thing as a Micro ATX power supply form factor. PS/3, SFX, and TFX are the primary form factors of reduced-size power supplies made to fit smaller chassis.
  11. Going to that site, where the case (they say cabinet) includes a 400W PSU, and they also specify a 300W "micro ATX" PSU, I have to wonder, might they have two PSUs in that box? I can't tell from the one pic...

Hey, they could be adding a 300W drive bay power supply for two PCIe leads, but that still wouldn't be "micro ATX". So, you pretty much can't trust any of the company's description.

Good point. Perhaps they are talking about something like this?: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153037

edit: WTF? Look under "Types" here: http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=58&name=Power-Supplies

Looks as if mATX PSUs do exist?!?!?! o-O

You're trusting Newegg as a source of information on form factors? They list various form factors under that "type", mostly SFX.
  15. ^ No. I'm just saying that the website in question isn't the only one using the term "mATX PSU". As for Form Factors, I trust this Intel doc: http://www.formfactors.org/developer%5Cspecs%5CPSU_DG_rev_1_1.pdf
  16. looking at all this confusion the customer who will buy that pc is going to have to take a gamble on that psu.Imagine if the 470 worked on that psu.lol.every tom dick and harry will fit it in the office computers.lol
