New Build for Hackintosh

Hi there geeks and fellas. I am in need of a Mac at the moment, however I could wait a few months. I'd rather build my own Hackintosh than toss out a thousand for a iMac for parts I could build myself for half the price.

I am doing this because buying an iMac is totally overpriced for the internal parts. I'm not sure if Blackfriday would have some kind of 'magical' deal that would 'magically' persuade me into buying a Mac.

Approximate Purchase Date: Now or Blackfriday (which is better)

Budget Range: < $1000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Workstation, Web Development, Application Development.

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, Monitor, Mouse, Speakers (Just the case and parts)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: NEWEGG (newegg addiction)

Country of Origin: US

Parts Preferences: Preferably i& (i7 870 or 950, no AMD), and high end NVidia card (NVidia GTX 470) The Antec 300

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Hackintosh (don't think mac os supports)

Monitor Resolution: (1920x1200)

Additional Comments: Hackintosh Build (4, 6, or 8 gb ram), I will be doing some gaming (tf2, sc2).

Thanks

You do know this is "illegal?"

Why not a PC?

I figured it was, but a few searches around the internet said that buying the 'upgrade disk' and installing from there is just fine.

I'm not here to take legal advice, I'm here to take hardware advice. Hence the name of the site, (Tom's Hardware) :)

The debate of Mac vs PC restarts. Do you really want to restart it?

iOS application development.

More work productivity.

Already have a good PC gaming rig (using it right now), although it has an AMD processor.

Building another PC rig would be useless at the moment.
