Q8400 Dell optiplex 755 sff

Hi, a friend has given me a new Q8400. I would like to know if it would fit in my Dell optiplex 755 sff using original heatsink? Motherboard is PU052 with A017 BIOS. Cheers.

What CPU do you have? Probably your current heatsink is good for 65W and the new CPU is rated at 95W TDP.

Currrently it is an Intel Core 2 Duo E4500.

You can try with your HS, they should be compatible but in this case you must watch the temperatures. Or get an aftermarket cooler, does this one fit in your case?
