Is there such thing as having a PSU that produces too much power for a computer? Im building my first rig and I'm picking up a 750W PSU even though I don't think my computer will require any more than 500W. I'm getting 750W in case I decide to upgrade in a year or start using SLI. Just want to make sure that too much power won't destroy my parts. Thanks!

Solution
you can use as much power as you want. the higher wattage rating is the max it can output when asked to, not how much it always outputs. make sure to stick to a good brand like corsair, seasonic, antec, etc.
