Need some help on my graphic card recently purchased

Hello I need some help I just recently bought a Geforce 9500GT. I installed it on my Vostro 220 and when i looked at my windows experience it went from 3.8 to 1. Also my monitor was blurry, I am using the dvi adapter. Did I install it wrong or? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Did you uninstall your old drivers via driver sweeper before installing your new card and drivers?

No I didnt, I will as soon as I get home. Also a quick question, this card is better than the intel integrated graphics right?

It should be, but that depends on what you are using it for.

Gaming? Yes, it is better.
Browsing the web? No, there will be no difference.
