Right now I have these parts picked out. Let me know what you guys think.

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM +
CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ955FBGMBOX

SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity

Still relatively undecided on the motherboard but I was thinking maybe something along the lines of this combo deal with the mobo and processor.

ASUS M4A89GTD PRO AM3 AMD 890GX HDMI SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard + AMD Phenom II X4 955

This build above comes out to be $593

If you guys think the memory+psu combo is a good one for this build let me know, because the 15% off for the psu ends this sunday.

Also, the operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and the case is the Cooler Master HAF 932

  1. The parts you picked out look great. I wouldn't change a thing.

The combo seems like a great deal as well but when I was trying to look at it it was no longer available.
  2. Which combo deal? They both still show that they are available to me?
  3. Nevermind, I checked again and they both work. I was probably copying the link wrong. I'm posting from behind the firewall at work and they don't allow hotlinking so I have to copy the link and paste it in a new tab.
  4. ASUS M4A87TD/USB3 + AMD Phenom II X4 955
    G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB + XFX P1-650X-CAG9 650W
    SAPPHIRE 100314SR Radeon HD 6870

    or this:

    G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB + Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W

  5. Also, the main game that will be played is WoW, followed by a little bit of Starcraft 2. I'm not sure if that affects any of your ideas you had for the build, but just thought I'd put that out there.
  6. Yep it does, you can get a HD 6850 -> more than enough for those games and not only.
  7. Well, all the previous combos I was looking at are gone now. Anyone have any suggestions on what parts and/or combo deals to choose to keep this as close to $600 with the best parts available?
  8. Wait a little, they're resetting the combos at the start of each month and most of those will be back in a few days.
  9. Ok, my budget has just been cut down to $550. That includes tax and shipping (tax because I live in California). Which area is going to be the best to shave off in to be able to fit in the budget?
  10. No area, just find the same parts from tigerdirect.com and don't worry about tax.
