P8Z68-V Boot Device LED. What does it possibly mean>

All,

I recently moved and now my PC will not boot. On the ASUS P8Z68-V motherboard, the LED cycling stops at the Boot-Device-LED colored red indicating that there is an issue with something. I am a little uneducated in this aspect of troubleshooting a custom PC build and have never had an issue like this before. Prior to moving the system was running well, save for an AMD 5780 video card that would constantly fail. I have since replaced the videocard to stop the videocard issue.

Anyway, what could the Boot Device LED be telling me? The manual does not provide any information on the topic.

What steps could I take to help resolve the issue? I have taken the CMOS battery out for several minutes to no avail.

Thanks!

Dan

Check all of your attached bootable devices like USB flash drives, optical drives, SSDs, HDDs.

Search on www.overclock.net

There is a p8z68-v pro forum where I found the solution to my boot problems. A BIOS upgrade and a few settings fixed my problem.
