Hello,
I changed motherboards from. Microstar 6301 to an Asus ( yes these are old ) P3V4X because that is what I had lying around. I have a SCSI system which works fine and has the system on it. I have an 80 Gb and a 500 Gb on the primary IDE and a Cd and another IDE drive on the secondary. I cannot get this mb to recognize the secondary IDE . I know the drives are OK because I switched the two channels around and then the CD and second drive worked fine and the other two drives that were working when they were in the primary IDE channel now did not work when they were in the secondary.

All of that is very long winded and I apologize for that. Oh, and the system is Windows Server 2003.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Dave

No nothing in the bios. I have decided that it is a bad slot. Not worth doing anything with and replaced the board. Thanks for the reply.
