Bootmgr message on a formated 160g hard drive

i just formatted my hard drive and have no operating system on it and im getting a bootmgr is missing mesage. can i still install an os on the hard drive or did i screw the pooch?

    I guess you learned the hard way,

    Formatting the hard drive ERASE everything on the computer, You have to reinstall windows or try to recover partition with software.
  2. You have the bios set to boot from the harddrive and when it tried it cant find a bootable partition. Set the bios to boot from whatever your os is on (dvd, usb...) and insert the appropriate bootable media.
