Hi, I recently bought an HP P6633w, I've already upgraded the GPU with radeon 6870 HD, PSU with OCZ ModExtreme 600w, and memory with 8GB XMS3. Now I'm widening if it's possible to upgrade the CPU with AMD Phenom quad core? Here what I currently have, it's all stock.

Athlonll X2 255 (R) 3.1 GHz (65W)
4000 MHz HyperTransport 3.0
Socket AM3

Motherboard is

Manufacturer: Foxconn
Motherboard Name: H-ALVORIX_HF-RS880-uATX
HP/Compaq motherboard name: Alvorix-GL8E

Is it possible or will I have to upgrade both the CPU and motherboard?

If it possible can I get links it, I prefer buying from newegg thanks.
Sorry if these questions are dumb, I'm still new to all this.

That board in that HP will accept all AM3 CPU's So a Phenom II x4 will work just fine. It looks like you could even put a Thuban x6 in that board if you wanted.
