Simple question I have read and heard the 970 chip set doesnt support cross fire but i keep reading boards with 970 chip sets claiming they have cross fire and even quad fire support can any one give me a solid answer on if they do or not?

yes they have crossfire support, beware though some only offer a 16x and 4x slot, which is gay for crossfire. Go for one with an 8x/8x pcie slot setup, asrock and gigabyte have this setup.. the only way they would ahve quad crossfire support is if you installed 2 x dual gpu cards, giving 4 gpu's read> http://asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=970 Extreme4&cat=Specifications . there arent any boards with this chipset that have 4 x pcie slots that im aware of so having 4 physical cards is a no-go. For like $30 more you can get a 990 chipset gigabyte motherboard with 16x/16x slots, but you have to deal with the fact that gigabyte still uses the old BIOS and not UEFI.
